Aircraft possibly carrying Gilman leaves Russia

MOSCOW, August 11. /TASS/. An aircraft that may be carrying US citizen Robert Gilman, who was previously convicted in Russia and released on health grounds, has left Russian territory, a source in European Union air traffic control services told TASS.

"A US-registered aircraft entered European Union airspace from the Russian-Latvian border and is currently flying over EU territory," the source said. He did not specify who was on board.

Reuters earlier reported, citing a US administration official, that Gilman had been released on health grounds and was heading home. According to the report, the aircraft is bound for Washington.
