US president's disapproval rating hits record 62% — poll

The survey shows that Americans are particularly unhappy with their leader's actions regarding Iran

NEW YORK, May 4. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump's disapproval rating has reached a new high of 62%, according to a survey conducted by Ipsos for The Washington Post.

Such a high level of disapproval has never been recorded during Trump's two presidential terms, the newspaper noted. Americans are particularly unhappy with their leader's actions regarding Iran (66% disapproving vs. 33% approving).

In addition, US residents are dissatisfied with the country's economic situation. A total of 76% of respondents complained about the high cost of living. At the same time, 45% of those participating in the poll approve of the president's performance on immigration policy.

The poll was conducted online April 24-28 among 2,560 US adults nationwide.
