MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. As many as 74.6% of Russians express trust in President Vladimir Putin, according to a poll conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM).
The survey was conducted from March 23 to 29 among 1,600 adult Russians.
"When asked about their trust in Putin, 74.6% of participants responded positively, while the approval rating of the president’s performance stands at 70.1%," the social service notes.
The Russian government’s performance is approved by 41.1% of respondents (a decrease of 1.5 percentage points), while Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin’s work is endorsed by 44.4% (a decrease of 1.7 points). Trust in Mishustin stands at 54.6% (a decrease of 0.4 points).
Respondents also commented on parliamentary party leaders. Trust in Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov is 32.2% (an increase of 0.4 points), trust in A Just Russia leader Sergey Mironov is 31.6% (an increase of 1.5 points), trust in LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky is 23.5% (an increase of 1.6 points), and trust in New People party chairman Alexey Nechayev is 11.3% (an increase of 2.4 points).
Support for political parties is as follows: United Russia 30.3% (an increase of 1 point), Communist Party 9.8% (an increase of 0.1 points), LDPR 10.5% (a decrease of 0.2 points), A Just Russia 5.3% (a decrease of 0.5 points), New People 10.8% (an increase of 0.4 points).
