MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. Moscow has recorded a new temperature high for November 18 at 9.5 degrees Celsius (49.1 degrees Fahrenheit), Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, told TASS.

"The record of 9.4 degrees Celsius, set in Moscow in 1940, has just been broken. The temperature has reached 9.5 degrees, making today the warmest November 18 since 1879. And the temperature keeps rising," he said.

According to Vilfand, it should be noted that the temperature will drop sharply to 1 degree Celsius in the evening, which, together with wind gusts, will lead to icy surfaces.
