MOSCOW, June 25. /TASS/. Air defenses intercepted and destroyed 269 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions and the Black Sea last night, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
Ukrainian drone strikes on Crimea killed two people, including a child. Falling drone debris caused a fire at the Poltavaskaya oil depot in Russia’s southern Krasnodar Region.

Scale of attacks
- On-duty air defenses intercepted and destroyed 269 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian regions between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on June 24 and 7:00 a.m. Moscow time on June 25 (5 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. GMT), the Defense Ministry reported.
- According to the ministry, the drones were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Saratov, Smolensk, Rostov, Tula Krasnodar, and Moscow regions, as well as over Crimea and the Black Sea.
- More than ten drones were destroyed in the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, as well as in the Tarasovsky, Millerovsky, Chertkovsky, Kasharsky, Belokalitvinovsky, and Sholokhovsky districts of the Rostov Region, Governor Yury Slyusar said on the Max messaging app.
- Air defenses shot down 22 Ukrainian drones over the Tula Region, Governor Dmitry Milyaev wrote on Max.
- Air defenses destroyed 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the Kaluga region, Governor Vladislav Shapsha reported.
Consequences
- A fire was reported at the Poltavskaya oil depot in the Krasnoarmeisky District of the Krasnodar Region after drone debris came down, district head Alexander Kharitonov said on Max.
- Response teams are working at the site.
- According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties, the regional crisis center said.
- Falling drone debris caused a fire at an enterprise in Abinsk, Krasnodar Region. The fire was extinguished, and there were no casualties, according to the regional crisis center.
- Drone debris also fell on an abandoned lot in the village of Mingrelskaya.
Attack on Crimea
- Two people, including a child, were killed in Ukrainian attacks on Crimea; another two suffered injuries, regional leader Sergey Aksyonov said on Telegram.
- He offered condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, adding that the authorities would provide necessary support.
- Aksyonov urged Crimeans to stay alert and rely on official sources for information.
