Moscow court rules to arrest former Novaya Gazeta editor Martynov in absentia

The arrest was on charges of organizing activities of an undesirable organization

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. Moscow's Basmanny Court ruled to arrest in absentia former Novaya Gazeta Deputy Editor-in-Chief Kirill Martynov, who is designated a foreign agent in Russia, a representative of a law enforcement agency told TASS.

The arrest was on charges of organizing activities of an undesirable organization.

"The investigation's petition to take K. K. Martynov in custody while pending trial has been granted," the person said.
