MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. About 1.9 million consumers (as of 7:00 a.m. GMT) were left without electricity in the south of Russia as a result of unfavorable weather conditions, the Russian Energy Ministry reported.
Energy workers are working in enhanced mode. In total, 680 teams - more than 2,100 people, 783 units of special equipment were involved in emergency restoration work. Restoration work is complicated by the situation caused by the consequences of bad weather, the ministry stressed.
The cyclone at night and in the morning of November 27 caused hurricane winds and massive flooding on the Black Sea coast of Russia. The affected regions include the republics of Crimea and Dagestan, the Krasnodar and Rostov regions, the people republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. At least one person was killed and dozens were injured. The weather damaged homes, caused power outages and traffic problems.
