Putin signs decree on holding World Youth Festival in 2024

The President approved the composition of the organizing committee for the preparation of the event

MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. The World Youth Festival will be held in Russia in February-March 2024, according to a decree released by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.

The government has been instructed to make all the necessary arrangements for the event within three months, including how and where it will be held, as well as issues of funding. They should also help get the word out about the festival through the media.

Additionally, Putin approved the festival’s organizing committee, which will be chaired by Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office. He is also the head of committee’s presidium.
