UNITED NATIONS, April 5. /TASS/. Wednesday’s Arria-formula meeting of the UN Security Council, in which Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova will take part, will be broadcast on the Telegram channel of Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky.
"Given the current situation, the broadcast of the Security Council’s Arria-formula meeting with the participation of Maria Lvova-Belova in Russian will be carried out on this Telegram channel. It will begin at 5:00 p.m. Moscow time on April 5," Polyansky said on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
The meeting, headlined "Children and armed conflict: Ukrainian crisis. Evacuating children from conflict zones" was initiated by Russia and is aimed at "providing all participants with objective information about the situation of children in the Donbass conflict zone, as well as about the Russian government’s measures to evacuate children from dangerous zones."
On Tuesday, the United Kingdom blocked the broadcasting of the Russia-initiated informal meeting by the official UN information portal.
