Video of Russian POW massacre confirms Kiev’s cruel nature — Defense Ministry

The brutal killing of Russian prisoners-of-war is not the first or the only war crime

MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. The video of the massacre of unarmed Russian prisoners-of-war confirms the cruel nature of the Kiev regime and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

"New video evidence of the mass carnage of unarmed Russian prisoners-of-war by Ukrainian servicemen confirms the brutal nature of the current Kiev regime led by Zelensky and of those who protect and support him," the statement reads.

"The intentional and methodical murder of more than ten immobilized Russian servicemen with direct shots to the head by the Ukrainian army's degenerates cannot be portrayed as a ‘tragic exception’ by anyone amid the Kiev regime's allegedly universal observance of POW rights," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian servicemen who surrendered this week are being held in accordance with all the requirements of the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War, it said.

The brutal killing of Russian prisoners-of-war is not the first or the only war crime. This is a wide-spread practice in the Ukrainian military actively supported by the Kiev regime and stubbornly ignored by its Western patrons, the ministry stressed.

"But Zelensky and his accomplices will be held responsible by the court of history, the peoples of Russia and Ukraine for each and every prisoner tortured and killed," the statement reads.
