Putin offers condolences to Cuban president over deadly blast at Havana hotel

According to the latest data, at least 22 people were killed

MOSCOW, May 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed his condolences over an explosion at Havana’s Hotel Saratoga in a message to Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel. The message was published on the Kremlin website on Saturday.

"Please accept my deepest condolences over the tragic consequences of an explosion at Havana’s Hotel Saratoga. Please convey my words of sympathy and support to the families and friends of those killed, and I wish all those injured a speedy recovery," the message reads.

An explosion hit the Hotel Saratoga in downtown Havana on May 6. According to the latest data, at least 22 people were killed and 64 injured people, including 14 underage children, were taken to hospitals.
