MOSCOW, April 25. /TASS/. Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) apprehended a group of Neo-Nazis who plotted a murder of prominent Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov on order from Ukrainian special services, the FSB press office told TASS on Monday.
"The Federal Security Service operating jointly with the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation apprehended a group of members of the National Socialism/White Power Neo-Nazi terror group outlawed in Russia who are Russian citizens and who plotted a murder of public figure, prominent journalist Vladimir Solovyov on order from the Ukrainian Security Service," the FSB said.
The apprehended individuals are giving confessionary evidence, it added.
During searches at the suspects’ residence, FSB operatives seized an improvised explosive, eight improvised petrol bombs, six PM pistols, a short-barreled hunting gun, an RGD-5 grenade, over a thousand of rounds of various caliber, narcotic drugs, fake Ukrainian passports with photos of the gang’s members, nationalist literature and paraphernalia, the FSB press office said.
"Work continues under a criminal probe launched by the Russian Investigative Committee’s Main Investigation Department to gather proofs of the detainees’ criminal activity," the press office said.
