HAIKOU /China/, Dec. 25. /TASS/. The 6th China International Cultural Industries Fair held in Hainan’s Sanya has attracted much attention from the Chinese and foreign public due to the variety of expositions on display, the Sanya Daily reported.

The event’s organizers noted that the exhibition showcases numerous objects of art such as Pakistani carpets and household items of the multifaceted traditional culture of Hainan, as well as scientific and technological novelties — robots and VR devices.

China’s ten major museums, which are involved in the preservation, study, and exhibition of folk cultural heritage, also organized their stands at the fair. The participating museums are the Sanxingdui Museum (Southwest Sichuan Province), the Beijing Metropolitan Museum, the Lu Xin House Museum, Palace of Culture of Nationalities, and Tsinghua University Art Museum, as well as regional institutions – Henan Province’s State Museums (Central China), Liaoning Provincial Museum and Jilin Museum (northeast), Shaanxi History Museum (north-west) and the Museum of the South China Sea (Hainan). "This time our main goal is to make our exhibits more widely known to the public, <...> so that they "light up" people and allow the whole community to absorb their rich cultural heritage," said Cheng Shengdong, director of cultural affairs at the Sanxingdui Museum.

According to him, many of the exhibits brought to Sanya City this year are shown outside of Sichuan province for the first time. These amazing Bronze Age artifacts are still a mystery to science.

"This time the fair is especially well organized, there is a magical feeling. In addition, you can get new knowledge here, it's more interesting than buying souvenirs in a museum store," commented a local woman interested in archaeology.

Sanya’s International Cultural Industry Fair was first held in 2015 and, since then, it welcomed 542 thousand people from 116 countries, regions, and foreign countries free of charge. More than 1.3 thousand companies participated in the annual events. Diplomats from nearly 100 countries have seen the expositions. This year it is held on December 24-27 and is larger than the previous ones. The exposition area will be 33 thousand square meters, visitors can see about 50 thousand exhibits.
