American Nova-C module lands on Moon surface — NASA

NEW YORK, February 23. /TASS/. The American Nova-C lander from Intuitive Machines landed on the lunar surface. The broadcast was conducted on the website of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

The moon landing happened at 02:23 Moscow time. After landing, the team of specialists took approximately 10-15 minutes to establish communication with the device.

The Nova-C lander, which is roughly the size of a telephone booth and weighs about 1.9 tons, was delivered by SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket.

According to the company, the cargo transported to the lunar surface aims to lay the foundation for manned missions and a sustainable human presence on the lunar surface.

This is the first time in over 50 years an American spacecraft has landed on Earth's natural satellite. Furthermore, CNN reported that this is the first time a commercial enterprise has carried out such a landing. This is NASA's second effort to deliver a lander to the Moon since the beginning of the year.
