Nine adults and one child died, the Russian emergencies ministry says

MOSCOW, December 30. /TASS/. Ten civilians, including a child, were killed and 45 more were injured in a massive shelling attack on downtown Belgorod by Ukrainian troops, the Russian emergencies ministry said.

"Nine adults and one child died in Belgorod as a result of the shelling attack by the Ukrainian army. Forty-five people, including four children, were injured," it said, adding that details are being verified.

Downtown Belgorod came under a massive shelling attack by Ukrainian troops on Saturday. Several shells hit residential quarters. According to the Russian emergencies ministry, ten fires were registered after the attack. They were put out shortly after.
