RABAT, November 15. /TASS/. By 2030, the entire potential for Russian agricultural product exports to Algeria is anticipated to be more than $1.5 bln, Director of Agroexport (the Russian Ministry of Agriculture's Federal Center for the Development of Agricultural Product Exports) Dmitry Krasnov said.
"Our cooperation with Algeria is just getting started. We estimate that the total potential for Russian agricultural product exports to Algeria reaches more than $1.5 bln by 2030," he said.
"Algeria is a large, rapidly developing African country that is one of Russia's key trading partners in the region. Our agricultural trade relations with Algeria are rapidly increasing and have significant potential for further expansion. Agricultural exports from Russia to Algeria have increased fourfold since 2018, reaching nearly $700 mln in 2022," Krasnov added.
"There is significant potential for wheat and soybean oil supply. The removal of restrictions to livestock products creates enormous prospects for the expansion of Russian meat and milk supplies. Stable ties between the two countries' businesses are required to unlock the existing potential," he added.
