Soyuz-2.1v carrier rocket blasts off from Plesetsk spaceport with military satellite

This year, it is the sixth launch of a Russian space launch vehicle and the second one from the Plesetsk space center

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. The Russian Aerospace Forces launched a Soyuz-2.1v carrier rocket with a military satellite from the Plesetsk spaceport, the Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.

"On Wednesday, March 29, at 10:57 p.m. [Moscow time], combat teams of the Aerospace Forces’ Space Troops launched a Soyuz-2.1v light-class carrier rocket with a spacecraft for the Defense Ministry from the State Test Cosmodrome (Plesetsk spaceport)," the ministry said in a statement.

This year, it is the sixth launch of a Russian space launch vehicle and the second one from the Plesetsk space center. It is the first launch of a Soyuz-2.1v light-class carrier rocket in 2023.
