Crimea extends yellow terrorist threat level in some areas

It will be in effect in the cities of Armyansk, Dzhankoy, and Krasnoperekopsk and in the Dzhankoy and Krasnoperekopsk districts from 08.00 p.m. October 8, 2022 to 08.00 p.m. October 23, 2022

MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/. The yellow level of terrorist threat has been extended in some Crimean areas until October 23, Sergey Aksyonov, Crimea’s head, wrote on his telegram channel on Saturday.

"The high (yellow) level of terrorist threat will be in effect in the cities of Armyansk, Dzhankoy, and Krasnoperekopsk and in the Dzhankoy and Krasnoperekopsk districts from 08.00 p.m. October 8, 2022 to 08.00 p.m. October 23, 2022, in order to safeguard security and anti-terrorist protection of the Republic of Crimea and its citizens," the message reads.

"The measure is purely preventive. The executive authorities have complete control over the situation in the region. Security of the Republic of Crimea, its residents and visitors is provided in full by the security and law enforcement agencies," Aksyonov said.
