MOSCOW, May 29. /TASS/. /TASS/. The Russian Defense Ministry uploaded a video clip showing the teams of Malka heavy artillery guns destroying Ukrainian army positions in a forest.

The video shows Malka artillery teams delivering fire on the Ukrainian troop positions.

"During the special military operation, the teams of Malka self-propelled artillery systems delivered pinpoint strikes on designated targets at long ranges. The fire by Malka self-propelled artillery guns wiped out the positions of the Ukrainian troops entrenched in a forest," the ministry said in a comment.

The Malka teams conducted fire by high explosive fragmentation shells from sheltered firing positions at a range of up to 40 km, it specified.

"Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles are reconnoitering targets and providing guidance for the artillery guns day and night," the ministry said.

The Malka self-propelled artillery gun is designed to strike vital enemy targets and facilities in a tactical defense depth beyond the frontlines. The heavy cannon boasts a rate of fire of 2.5 rounds per minute and can wipe out targets at a range of about 50 km.
