Light aircraft crashes in Russia’s Arkhangelsk Region

The pilot and observer are alive, a Russian Emergencies Ministry spokesperson told

MOSCOW, June 25. /TASS/. The light aircraft that went missing in the Arkhangelsk Region in northwest Russia has crashed, the pilot and observer are alive, a Russian Emergencies Ministry spokesperson told TASS on Friday.

"The plane has been found, it has crashed. The crew is alive," the spokesperson said, adding that they are being transported to a nearby town.

A law enforcement source told TASS that the aircraft had burned down. "One of the passengers can walk, the other cannot. They are being flown to a hospital aboard a helicopter," the source said.
