Central Election Commission chairwoman thanks Putin for decisions ensuring safe voting

MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. Central Election Commission Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for timely decisions that helped ensure voting security under difficult conditions.

"On behalf of my colleagues, let me thank you for the fact that a number of decisions were made and relevant instructions were issued in a timely manner," Pamfilova said at a meeting with the president.

According to her, this enabled the Central Election Commission, together with the Defense Ministry, National Guard, Federal Security Service, Interior Ministry, Emergencies Ministry and other agencies, to take the necessary measures to ensure that voting took place under the safest possible conditions.

"This is very important. And many thanks. We really managed to achieve this," the Central Election Commission chairwoman stressed.
