Russia says Kiev hit foreigners to drive wedge into its relations with fraternal nations

MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. Ukraine has deliberately struck the place where foreigners live in Nizhnekamsk to drive a wedge into the fraternal relations between Russia and friendly countries, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

The diplomat noted that as a result of the strike, "at least 13 people were killed, most of whom are foreign citizens (according to preliminary information, eight citizens of Uzbekistan and one citizen of Tajikistan); about 20 foreigners were injured."

"Kiev’s neo-Nazis deliberately targeted the places of residence and work of representatives of states friendly to us to drive a wedge into the fraternal relations between our peoples," she said on the ministry’s website.

"As a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ terrorist attacks, not only peaceful Russians but also citizens of other countries are suffering. We express our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery. We call on all members of the international community to condemn the barbaric crimes of the Ukrainian Nazis."

Earlier, Tatarstan said that on August 10, the republic was attacked by enemy drones, which killed thirteen people, including a child. Seventy·eight people sought help, and 25 were hospitalized. A criminal case was initiated on the fact of a terrorist attack carried out by Ukrainian armed groups against industrial and civilian facilities in the Republic of Tatarstan (Article 205 of the Criminal Code). A day of mourning was declared in the republic.
