Ukrainian drone attack on Nizhnekamsk constitutes war crime — MFA

Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik said a decision had been made to declare mourning across the region

MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik described the massive Ukrainian drone attack on industrial and civilian facilities in Nizhnekamsk as a war crime.

"Nizhnekamsk came under a massive Ukrainian drone attack. There are fatalities," the diplomat wrote on Telegram. "A decision has already been made to declare mourning across the region for those killed as a result of the war crime committed by the Ukrainian armed forces," he recalled.

Every life cut short in the attacks lies on the conscience of Western sponsors who supplied weapons to the Nazi Kiev regime, he added. "More than 30 civilians were affected in Belgorod and more than 50 in Nizhnekamsk, including at least 18 killed. It is important for Western sponsors of the Kiev regime to realize and remember that every life cut short and every civilian fate destroyed lies on the conscience of those who put weapons in the hands of Nazi killers and allowed them to believe that they would escape retribution for their crimes," Miroshnik wrote.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 456 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian regions overnight. Industrial and civilian facilities in Nizhnekamsk came under a massive drone attack. According to the press service of Tatarstan’s head, 12 people were killed and another 39 injured.
