Russia focuses on development of economic, humanitarian ties with Armenia — diplomat

Russia was implementing the policy aimed at development of Armenia "during decades," Maria Zakharova stressed

MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. Russia is going to develop economic and humanitarian cooperation with Armenia, Official Spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said.

"We focus on economic and humanitarian development. We focus on solving issues related to security challenges in this region on the basis of mutual respect," the diplomat said.

Russia was implementing the policy aimed at development of Armenia "during decades," Zakharova added. This referred to security issues and issues of "minimizing the conflict potential," she said.
