MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. Moscow is counting on Jakarta’s support for the initiative to create a BRICS reserve fund, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Alexander Venediktov said.
"We welcome active participation in Russian initiatives within the BRICS framework and count on Jakarta’s support for initiatives to create a resource reserve fund. This topic will be discussed in more detail at an informal meeting with Security Council Secretary, which we will hold on the sidelines of our event," he said at a meeting with Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense Tri Budi Utomo at the first International Security Forum.
Venediktov wished Secretary General a comfortable stay at the forum and drew his attention to the numerous displays of high-tech products organized at the Live Arena venue. "These are products that we are ready to provide to our friends. <…> These are products for the military, for law enforcement agencies, for special services, and our technologies in the field of peaceful nuclear energy, space exploration, information security are also [presented]," he said.
Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council also expressed hope that Tri Budi Utomo’s visit will lead to "practical directions for cooperation in the field of security."
The International Security Forum is being held from May 26 to 29 in the Moscow Region under the auspices of the Russian Security Council at Live Arena.
