Russia, India have common vision for supply of Russian hydrocarbons — Lavrov

The Russian foreign minister added that cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy is developing very successfully

NEW DELHI, May 15. /TASS/. Russia and India are committed to increasing supplies of Russian hydrocarbons and fertilizers, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a press conference following the BRICS ministerial meeting in New Delhi.

"We share a common commitment to increasing supplies of Russian hydrocarbons and fertilizers. Cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy is developing very successfully, as is cooperation in the peaceful exploration of outer space," he said.

Regarding peaceful nuclear energy, the possibility of providing Russia with a new site for the construction of several more nuclear power plant units was discussed, which would significantly strengthen India’s energy security, the minister added.
