Federation Council ratifies agreement on foundations of relations with Togo

The agreement was signed in Moscow on November 19, 2025

MOSCOW, April 29. /TASS/. The Federation Council has ratified the agreement on the foundations of relations between the Russian Federation and the Togolese Republic, submitted to parliament by President Vladimir Putin, the upper house said at a plenary session.

The agreement was signed in Moscow on November 19, 2025. It is aimed at developing mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as combating terrorism and cybercrime.

Under the document, the two countries will develop relations on the basis of mutual respect and respect for national interests, while maintaining regular dialogue and an exchange of views at various levels on issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
