MOSCOW, April 29. /TASS/. Western countries deliberately turn a blind eye to the Kiev regime’s production and use of chemical weapons, Russian ambassador to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the OPCW Vladimir Tarabrin said.
"A network of laboratories has been identified on the territory of Ukraine, producing, including through artisanal methods, various toxic chemicals employed in violation of the OPCW during hostilities and for terrorist purposes," he said during an online briefing.
"In response to the evidence and warnings we provide, we are, quite predictably, met with a painful, almost hysterical reaction from Western countries and a categorical refusal to acknowledge these facts," Tarabrin added.
He also said that unfounded accusations of disinformation and slander are being made against Russia.
"This is understandable, as Kiev’s foreign sponsors do everything possible to cover up and encourage the junta to commit such crimes," he said, noting that they go out of their way to shift from a sore head to a healthy one, portraying Russia as the violator of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
