Donbass Dome reduces risk of Ukrainian AI-powered 'Martian' UAV attacks — DPR head

Denis Pushilin noted that reports, photos, and videos of neutralized drones are published weekly, demonstrating the effectiveness of the system

DONETSK, April 29. /TASS/. The Donbass Dome air defense system greatly reduces the risks of drone attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces, including strikes using the Marsianin (Martian) AI-powered drone, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin said in an interview with TASS.

"Does the Donbass Dome help mitigate the impact of not only this Martian but also other types of drones? Of course, it significantly reduces it," Pushilin said.

He noted that reports, photos, and videos of neutralized drones are published weekly, demonstrating the effectiveness of the system. "Look, in reality, no system provides 100% protection, even the most advanced, even the Golden Dome, whatever you call it, and the shelling of Israel has shown this," the DPR head added.

On April 8, Mayor of Gorlovka Ivan Prikhodko announced that the Ukrainian armed forces had begun using the Martian drones to strike the city. The developers of the Tyen (Shadow) drone detectors told TASS that the drone is not of Ukrainian design, and its production is likely based in the United States or an EU country.
