Russia sees clear position of Hungary, Slovakia on Druzhba pipeline — Kremlin

Dmitry Peskov noted that Budapest and Bratislava stand for their economic interests

MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Russia sees the sabotage from the Ukrainian side and the clear position of Hungary and Slovakia standing for their economic interests, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in a comment on the situation related to the Druzhba oil pipeline.

"We see an absolutely clear and consistent position of Budapest and Bratislava which stand for their economic interests. And [we] see the sabotage from the side of the Kiev regime. It can be simply stated, there is nothing to comment," Peskov said.

According to Hungary’s data, oil is not coming to its refineries over the Druzhba oil pipeline from January 27. Budapest is confident that Kiev halted the feedstock transit exclusively because of political reasons. Hungary in its turn suspended diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine, blocked the "military loan" of the European Union worth 90 bln euro for Kiev and threatened to halt electric power supplies.
