MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. Western countries want to change the regime in Myanmar, and they are sending military instructors there for this reason, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu told TASS in an interview.
"Behind the loud slogans about protecting the rights of ordinary people are the Westerners’ cynical plans to change the regime in Myanmar and replace it with so-called democratic leaders who are loyal to them," Shoigu said following his working visit to Myanmar. "Western countries provide financial and technical assistance to anti-government groups, send military instructors, and create logistical hubs in border territories," the security official noted.
In view of this, Shoigu added that he sees no reason for Naypyidaw’s opponents to change their aggressive course toward Myanmar and its people.
