Ukrainian drone attacks bridge in Kursk Region — governor

Alexander Khinshtein emphasized that the bridge has no military significance, being a civilian infrastructure facility

KURSK, May 22. /TASS/. A Ukrainian drone attacked a highway bridge near a village in the Kursk Region, Acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein reported.

"Early this morning, an enemy drone attacked a highway bridge near the village of Semyonovo in the Rylsky district. The strike damaged the pavement and fencing. Traffic was not disrupted. Fortunately, there are no casualties!" he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Khinshtein emphasized that the bridge has no military significance but is a civilian infrastructure facility. "The bridge connects two villages: Malogneushevsky and Nekrasovsky. It is an important route for local residents, which the enemy targeted. The bridge does not have any military significance; it exclusively serves our peaceful citizens!" he noted.

The acting head also said that he had instructed the region's Acting Transport Minister Alexander Zamarayev to oversee the restoration of the bridge. "No settlements are cut off. Today, repair crews will start restoring the bridge," Khinshtein pointed out.
