Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission to meet in Moscow on April 22-26

As Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilyov noted, in addition to developing economic cooperation, other aspects of bilateral relations will be discussed at this meeting

MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. Russia and Iran will hold the 18th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation from April 22 to 26 in Moscow, Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilyov announced after a meeting with the Islamic Republic's Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali.

"We agreed that this year the intergovernmental commission will be held in Moscow from April 22 to 26. In addition to developing economic cooperation, other aspects of [bilateral] relations will be discussed at this meeting," Tsivilyov said in a commentary to the Iranian state television and radio company.

During the meeting, Tsivilyov and Jalali also had a telephone conversation with the chairman of the Iranian part of the permanent Russian-Iranian commission on trade and economic cooperation, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad.

Speaking at a gala reception on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran on February 10, the Russian Energy Minister said that he expects to reach new agreements on both existing and prospective projects at the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission.
