Second Russia-Africa foreign ministers' forum to be held in Africa in 2025 — Lavrov

"The third Russia-Africa summit is being organized for 2026," the minister underscored

MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. The second ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum will be held in an African country in 2025, while the third Russia-Africa summit will take place in 2026, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"This year we have to host the second [Russia-Africa] ministerial forum in one of the African countries," Lavrov said at a press conference following talks with Zimbabwean Foreign Minister Amon Murwira.

"The third [Russia-Africa] summit is being organized for 2026," the minister added.

The first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum took place on November 9-10 in the federal territory of Sirius. The event was attended by about 1,500 delegates, including 45 ministers from the African continent.
