Putin accuses Western elites of seeking to disrupt US-Russia talks

"We need to take this into account and utilize all available diplomatic and intelligence resources to foil such attempts," the president said

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Some Western elites are making attempts to disrupt the current communication between Russia and the US, so every capability must be used to counter these efforts, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with top Federal Security Service officials.

"We understand that not everyone welcomes the resumption of Russian-US contacts. Certain Western elites remain committed to maintaining global instability," Putin stated. "These forces will attempt to derail or discredit the emerging dialogue."

"We need to take this into account and utilize all available diplomatic and intelligence resources to foil such attempts," he said.
