BEIJING, February 24. /TASS/. Following a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier in the day, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that China and Russia are true friends, always providing mutual support, Xinhua news agency reported on Monday.

According to China’s news agency, the Chinese leader emphasized the neighborly nature of relations that Beijing and Moscow uphold. Xi also stated that China and Russia share challenges and difficulties in pursuit of mutual development.

Xi Jinping made it clear during a telephone conversation with Russia’s Putin, that the Chinese cooperation with Russia is not aimed against any third party. He emphasized that the relations between the two countries were not subject to interference from outside.
