Russian troops just 1.5 km away from state border near Ugledar in Donbass region — expert

Russian fighters use special cartridges to shoot down enemy drones, Yan Gagin noted

MOSCOW, February 12. /TASS/. Russian troops are just 1.5 km away from Russia’s state border in the Ugledar direction in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), military-political expert Yan Gagin said during a live broadcast on the Rossiya-1 television channel on Wednesday.

"If we talk about the Ugledar direction where I am staying right now at one of command posts, we are just few kilometers away, i.e. about 1.5 km away from the administrative border of our republic and [the state border of] the Russian Federation. This is quite a short distance and in actual fact the enemy continues fighting there, operating in forest belts, i.e. it keeps holding on to these strongholds precisely on the ground, actively using drones," Gagin said.

Russian fighters use special cartridges to shoot down enemy drones, he added.
