ASTANA, February 12. /TASS/. Law enforcement and military cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia is developing successfully, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
"I think that cooperation between the law enforcement agencies and the defense agencies of our states is also developing successfully," Tokayev told Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu as quoted in a statement. "I believe that your visit is a good opportunity to review again what is being done in our cooperation and to agree on new areas of interaction between our countries."
According to him, economic cooperation between the two countries is also progressing successfully.
"It is very important that economic cooperation between our countries is also developing successfully. We have reached agreements on 171 projects, and more than 50 projects have reached the final stage of implementation. Russia is becoming one of the main investors in the Kazakh economy," he said.
In general, he said, "cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation is developing in an upward trajectory."
