MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. Paratroopers of Russia's Ussuriysk Separate Airborne Assault Formation have evacuated civilians, including a woman born in 1938, from the village of Nikolayevo-Daryino in the Kursk Region, eyewitnesses told TASS.
"Since August, the Ukrainians came and started shooting and shelling us. We hid in the basements. There were eight people in ours. There was a couple with a one-year-old boy named Roma. Then they were evacuated somehow, and the two of us were left. We lived in the basement for about half a year," a woman said.
She specified that she was shot from a tank when she went upstairs to get food.
"The doctors have already given us all the help we need. <...> Thanks to the guys (the paratroopers - TASS) who got us out of there. And thanks for bringing us to safety. The guys really took care of us, gave me medical help, wrote down where I was injured and so on," the woman added.
