MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. The agreement between Russia and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) on scientific and technical cooperation in the field of high energy physics was terminated on December 1, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on the government website containing legal information.
"The Agreement between the government of the Russian Federation and CERN on scientific and technical cooperation in the field of high energy physics and other areas of mutual interest, as well as the Protocol to the Agreement between the government of the Russian Federation and CERN on scientific and technical cooperation in the field of high energy physics and other areas of mutual interest, signed in Geneva on April 16, 2019, were terminated on December 1, 2024," the statement reads.
The accord provided both for Russia’s expanded participation in the activities of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and CERN’s participation in projects in Russia.
