Russian Ka-52M gunship wipes out Ukrainian army stronghold in borderline Kursk area

After the strike, the Ka-52M crew performed a missile evasion maneuver at an ultralow altitude by firing decoy flares to evade hits by enemy surface-to-air missiles

MOSCOW, December 6. /TASS/. A Ka-52M helicopter of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed a Ukrainian army stronghold in the borderline Kursk area, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Friday.

"An army aviation crew flying a Ka-52M helicopter and operating as part of a mixed tactical group delivered a strike by air-launched missiles at a stronghold and manpower of the Ukrainian army in a border area of the Kursk Region. In fulfilling their combat mission with the support of Battlegroup North units, the army aviation pilots launched missiles using the coordinates transmitted by an air controller and destroyed the Ukrainian army’s stronghold and personnel," the ministry said in a statement.

After the strike, the Ka-52M crew performed a missile evasion maneuver at an ultralow altitude by firing decoy flares to evade hits by enemy surface-to-air missiles. A forward air observer confirmed the destruction of all the uncovered targets, the ministry reported.
