MELITOPOL, November 21. /TASS/. Russian troops have advanced several kilometers on two fronts to the north and south of the settlement of Velikaya Novoselka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Civic Chamber member Vladimir Rogov told TASS.

"To the northeast of Velikaya Novoselka and Yasnaya Polyana, our troops advanced roughly two kilometers [1.2 miles] towards Razdolnoye, now nearly at its outskirts. To the southeast of Velikaya Novoselka, Russian units advanced towards Blagodatnoye from Novodonetskoye on a broad front, liberating approximately 10 square kilometers [3.9 square miles]," he said.

Earlier, the official stated that a successful offensive by the Russian Armed Forces north of Velikaya Novoselka could allow them to encircle the settlement, which is a major logistics hub for Ukrainian troops in the area.
