WASHINGTON, April 9. /TASS/. Fatigue from the burden of financing Ukraine is objectively growing in the Western countries, Russia’s ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, has told the media.

"The population's fatigue of the burden of financing Ukraine is objectively growing in the West. This is not propaganda," Antonov said in a statement uploaded to the Telegram channel of the Russian embassy in Washington.

"Ordinary Americans do not understand why they should work hard and pay taxes, which will then be used to financially and militarily support a distant East European country," he stressed.

Antonov added that the United States "has accumulated a pile of acute social and economic problems," the solution of which was a priority for ordinary Americans and many politicians.
