Internal, external threats to country often intertwined today — Putin

According to the Russian leader, one of the key tasks facing the country now is to strengthen the close coordination of all law enforcement agencies

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Today's internal and external threats are often intertwined and all of them are aimed at containing Russia and undermining its sovereignty, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"We should assume that today's internal and external threats are often intertwined," the head of state said at an expanded board meeting of the Russian Interior Ministry. "They are equally directed against our citizens and society, [they are aimed at] containing Russia, undermining our sovereignty," Putin added.

According to him, one of the key tasks facing the country now is to strengthen the close coordination of all law enforcement agencies and special services.
