FSB nabs members of terrorist cell plotting delivery of poisoned food to special op zone

MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Officers of the Federal Security Service (FSB) apprehended members of the Russian Volunteer Corps (designated as a terrorist group in Russia), who were plotting to send poisoned humanitarian aid to the special military operation zone, the FSB told TASS.

"The FSB exposed and nabbed the illegal activities of a secret cell of the Russian Volunteer Corps, a Ukrainian paramilitary unit, acting in the interests of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry in St. Petersburg," the security service said.

According to the FSB, the detainees, who also conducted reconnaissance of life support facilities, transport and other critical infrastructure in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region to prepare terrorist attacks, may face 10 to 20 years behind bars.
