US imposes its approaches to Gaza issue contradicting international law — Lavrov

"All conversations about the future of the Palestinian enclave are based on various ‘leaks’ and rumors," the top Russian diplomat said

MOSCOW, December 28. /TASS/. The US is attempting to impose its approaches to the future of the Gaza Strip which have nothing to do with international law, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an exclusive interview with TASS on the results of 2023.

"All conversations about the future of the Palestinian enclave are based on various ‘leaks’ and rumors," the top Russian diplomat said. "It is worrisome that, according to information coming in, the US again wants to impose its approaches which have nothing to do with international law as it happened in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and many other countries and regions destroyed as a result of Washington’s reckless schemes," he added.

"We will be guided, above all, by the opinion of the Palestinians as well as that of our regional partners," Lavrov noted.
