MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia’s relations with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have started to shine with new colors.
"We traditionally have very kind relations of friendship and partnership with many countries in the Middle East. Now, they have started to shine with new colors, like, for example, our ties with the United Arab Emirates and the Saudi Arabia," he said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television.
He added that these countries were among Russia’s main economic partners at present.
"The annual trade growth is fantastic, and so is our cooperation on the bilateral level and within the framework of international formats, such as OPEC+, for example," Peskov went on.
In his words, this allows to boost cooperation and at the same time to raise the level of dialogue and discuss the most pressing issues for Russia and countries of the Middle East.
The same applies to India, China and countries from Southeast Asia, Peskov added.
"This is a whole world, which opens huge additional opportunities for us, and we are going to seize them. It’s about relations; it’s about cooperation based on mutual benefits and mutual respect. This is what typically lacked in relations with the collective West," the Kremlin spokesman said.
