Russia’s enemies to continue attempts to use international courts against it — report

It is noted that the methods of "such rigged trials" are vividly seen in the patently unjust rulings of the International Criminal Court, based in The Hague, the Netherlands

MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Russia’s opponents will continue to try using international court proceedings in order to obtain iniquitous anti-Russian judgements, according to an annual report of Russia’s Federation Council commission for the protection of state sovereignty and the prevention of interference in the internal affairs of Russia.

"Russia’s enemies will continue their attempts to malevolently use international court proceedings. For example, PACE supported an inciting proposal to create a special tribunal so ‘that the Russian Federation and its leaders are held to account,’" the report, published on the Federation Council’s website said.

The report noted that the methods of "such rigged trials" are vividly seen in the patently unjust rulings of the International Criminal Court (ICC), based in The Hague, the Netherlands. For instance, on March 17, 2023, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Children’s Rights Ombudswoman Maria Lvova-Belova, on charges of the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children. Moscow has categorically refuted these charges, describing the very fact that such an issue was raised at all as utterly outrageous. Moreover, Moscow said that it did not recognize the ICC’s jurisdiction and considered its verdicts to be null and void.
