MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. Washington is mistaken if it considers it necessary to test Russia's limits on the issue of resuming nuclear tests, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said.
"We do not judge by words, but by deeds, and we ourselves should be on standby at all times. And I would add - in combat readiness, if necessary, in the literal sense of the word. This also applies to the issue of resuming nuclear trials. If the Americans think that they should test our strength in this field as well, they are mistaken," he said in an interview with the International Affairs journal.
The senior diplomat added that the US "will get a completely new situation" if it follows the path of destabilization and decides to conduct nuclear tests. "If the US resumes such tests, we will mirror their actions," the Russian deputy foreign minister pointed out.
