MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. Pakistan plans to take relations with Russia to a more advanced level in 2024, regardless of what political force wins the 2024 general elections in the country, Pakistan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Russia Muhammad Khalid Jamali has told TASS in an interview.

"Russia is a very important global partner and there is a complete consensus <…> in Pakistan for maintaining good relations with the Russian Federation," he said. "We believe that good relations between the two countries would bring stability in the region. So given all this I can assure you that positive trajectory in our relations will continue regardless of the results of the upcoming elections and whichever party assumes power in Pakistan."

In his words, "Pakistan views Russia as a factor of stability in the region."
